This coffee is certified as SHG (Strictly High Grown), EP (European Preparation), and Organic. It has a medium-dark roast and a tasting profile of caramel, spice, and brown sugar. It is grown in Marcala, La Paz, Honduras by 1,500 members of Cafe Organics Marcala using a variety of Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, and Typica. The beans are harvested at an altitude of 1,300-1,700 meters and are washed and sun-dried using a fully washed process. The soil in the region is known for its high clay mineral content.
